1. Go for a walk
If you feel like getting your heart rate up but don't want to waste precious hours of sunshine inside of a gym, then put on your runners and power walk your way to your local coffee shop. Better yet, grab a friend on the way and make it a social experience. Together you can walk and talk and watch the people around you who are also enjoying the day.
2. Play tennis
Tennis is one of those games that is fun to play even if you aren't very good. Providing that you can occasionally hit the ball back, it's a great excuse to run around and incorporate some exercise into your day. There are usually public courts where pairs can play for under £10- between two people that's not a bad price for an hour of fun.
3. Take flight in a hot air balloon
Hot air balloon flights are a relaxing and magical way to see the countryside. And of course there is no better time to fly than on a beautiful, clear, sunny day. Take a deep breath and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you while you soar into the sky.
4. Have a picnic in the park
For some people, good weather means time spent in the park. Of course, if you're going spend countless hours in the park, it's worth bringing along some food, drinks and maybe a ball to kick around. Grab a blanket, call some friends and before you know it, you'll be enjoying a fun little picnic in the park.
5. Run errands
Running errands on a sunny weekend afternoon might not seem as exciting as the options listed above, but it is a great time to go out and get things done. Think of it this way- instead of running around the city after work one night when you're exhausted, or in the rain or snow, you can complete everything on your tasks schedule while getting a bit of a tan.
There is never any shortage of things to do on a beautiful spring afternoon when your time really is yours. So get out there and enjoy it. Happy sunning readers!
